FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to read the Citizen Charter?

No. The charter is public. You need an account only to submit or track an application.

Who can register on eDesk?

Anyone with a Bangladeshi mobile number. Teachers and DSHE staff sign in with their PDS index number, and institutions with their EIIN, so they do not register separately.

I work for DSHE but have never had an EMIS password. What do I do?

Use Claim your account. Enter your PDS index number and eDesk sends a one-time code to the mobile number recorded for you in EMIS. If that number is out of date, your upazila or district education office can verify you.

Can I still apply on paper?

Yes. A paper application is registered at the receiving desk with a barcoded slip and is tracked exactly like one submitted online.

How do I know how long a service should take?

Every service in the Citizen Charter states its time limit. eDesk counts working days from the day your application is received.

Are the AI assistant's answers official?

The assistant answers only from published circulars, rules and the charter, and cites its source. When it is not sure, it hands your question to an officer as a ticket.
